About Me

What I can offer

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Accredited CBT practitioner. I qualified in Clinical Psychology in 2003 and since that time have worked within the NHS in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). I have specialised in providing CBT to young people and families, and took a lead role in developing and running CBT clinics. I continue to offer supervision to colleagues in the NHS and now work independently offering CBT to young people, families and adults.
I also have strong links with the University of Reading and am involved in their CBT Diploma courses as an external marker.
I am passionate about providing good quality, evidence based treatments to people from across the age range. In my NHS role I have specialised in working with people with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and eating disorders
I can provide psychological assessment and treatment for a variety of difficulties, including:
  • Anxiety disorders including social anxiety, generalised anxiety, separation anxiety, specific phobias and panic disorder
  • Mild to moderate depression
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Low self esteem
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
I currently offer sessions in Wokingham and Theale, near Reading. I can offer sessions on Monday - Friday during the day. Initially, following telephone consultation or a referral from a professional, I offer an assessment session and, if appropriate will then offer a series of sessions of CBT.
I can accept referrals from professionals (e.g. your G.P.) or can accept direct referrals from clients.
